How to create kaleidoscope fractal art from your photos

People always ask me how I create my kaleidoscope fractal art so thought i'd put this tutorial together on my blog for all to see.
I create my kaleidoscopes in photoshop and start with at least one base picture (it's good to choose a picture that has lots of colours, patterns or textures to get a really crazy psychedelic looking work of art.)
You then take a triangle shaped section of this picture, copy it, then rotate and flip it so it mirrors the first section, then keep copying and rotating the sections untill it fills up the canvas.
Watch this youtube video to see exactly how!

When you've made your first piece of fractal art you can then copy and paste it to repeat the pattern or create another kaleidoscope from another photo and combine these images to make something even more interesting.
You'll find even more youtube tutorials and examples on my squidoo site here
Here's a few examples of my kaleidoscope creations, they're all available to buy in my shop along with lots of other designs.
I hope you enjoy making your own kaleidoscope art.
